Finally Oklahoma will become a part of the FASHION WEEK GENRE!

Whoever said that Oklahoma was fashionably late lied! Mark your calendars for April 14^th-20^th because history will be made. Taking place in Oklahoma City Oklahoma, this event will be Oklahomas FIRST Fashion week filled jammed pack with all sorts of fashionable goodness. Tickets have gone on sale already so be sure to claim your tickets while you can. A VIP purchase will get you a fabulous gift bag filled with all types of greatness from many wonderful sponsors.

Fresh local designers as well as well-established designers will be showcased. I can’t wait to see what Oklahoma Fashion Week will bring to the fashion plate. I co-wash my hair (washing hair using conditioner only) in the shower daily. John Frieda’s daily conditioner has become my staple! I absolutely LOVE the way it leaves my hair feeling. Switching between two different daily conditioners has worked well for me so far. I’ve yet to find an amazing leave in conditioner, if you have any recommendations, please, do tell! I am still on the hunt for it but for now, this is what I do…

First, I co wash my hair in the shower using my John frieda’s Radiant Red daily Conditioner. Since my hair is currently color treated, I figured I better do something to preserve its vibrancy. So far, this has helped keep my hair red, without dulling it down or changing it to some weird orangey color. I love the way it makes my hair feel. I’m not too keen on the smell… but I can live with it.

I also, sometimes, use Herbal Essences Honey I’m Strong daily conditioner which smells amazing in my opinion. This conditioner also leaves my hair feel soft and moisturized.

After I apply the conditioner to my hair I allow for the showerhead to run water through my hair while shaking my head like a saltshaker! Doing this will allow for your curls/coils/waves to POP!

After that I will continue on with my showerly-duties (I think I made that word up ha!)…this will allow enough time for my hair to drip-dry just enough so that when I do get out of the shower, I don’t have a ton of water pouring down my neck. I do not towel dry my hair.

Once I am out of the shower I will finger pull my hair in areas that need attention so that my hair isn’t lopsided and rocking a gangsta lean…LOL

ORRRRRR

Once I am out of the shower I will apply Kinky Curly Curling custard to my hair and go about my day.

I have been shampooing my hair about once a month but I honestly think that I will be retiring my shampooing days. Me and shampoo are not a match…Every shampoo that I’ve tried has stripped my hair down to its Birthday suit and it takes forever to get it back to how I prefer my hair to feel.

This color is my first True-to-red lipstick and I absolutely LOVE it! It is extremely matte, meaning that it is a bit drying so you will have to exfoliate your lips well before applying this lippie. One of my favorite things about this lipstick is the fact that it IS extremely matte. When I wear this color I cannot feel the product on my lips. It feels as if the lipstick has become one in matrimony with my pout, It lasts just about all day. I f you needed to reapply I would say one time, maybe twice would be just enough. This lipstick screams confidence! Screams maturity, and screams courageousness! I am woman hear me roar!

If you are feeling some type of way and you need a little pick me up to spice things up, just dab on a bit of Ruby woo and you should instantly feel sexy. The best part about it is that you don’t need to do too much of any thing else with your makeup. Keep the rest of the face natural. Ruby Woo by Mac will be my go to color this holiday season. Ruby Woo is a matte lipstick so if you aren’t into the way that Matte lipsticks feel on your lips, don’t fret, just be sure to put a moisturizing lip balm underneath and a nice layer of lip gloss on top and that will cure your dried-matte woes.

I can see this lip color being worn to a Christmas party and even during thanksgiving. The shade is a nice red color that will look perfect on just about any shade of skin tone. You can change the look of this lippie just by simply switching up your lip liners. Pair this with the lip liner in “currant” for a deeper reddish color, or pair is with a red liner for that True-to-red lip! Very sexy. I can’t wait to wear this color…I believe me and my Honey have a date night coming up , I’ll be sure to post pictures of how I rocked it.

For all of my women of color, don’t be afraid of a nice red lip. YOU too can pull it off, just rock it with confidence!
